Renovating your kitchen can feel stressful a even overwhelming. That's why at Detroit Home, we've created a clear guide with a Step-By-Step process to help you understand what to expect and what to consider as you complete your project.
We believe a smooth, transparent process is the key a stress free kitchen remodel.
1). Call Us
When you're ready to renovate your kitchen, the first step is scheduling a consultation with us! Once an appointment is set, log on to our website and pick door colors you would like to see in person, so we can bring those samples with us.
2). Your Consultation
On the day of your scheduled consultation, one of our professionals will visit your home to take initial measurements, discuss layout ideas, review your preferences, and will point out any potential challenges for your project.
3). Designs, Final Selections, & Quotes
After your consultation, our project managers will create a 3D model of your kitchen using the Mozaik software. This gives you the opportunity to visualize your space before any work begins. Once design and cabinet selections are finalized, a detailed quote will be provided. Any necessary paperwork will be completed, and any down payments required will be collected. Your cabinets will be ordered, and your project can officially begin!
4). Initial Phase
This stage prepares your space for the upcoming project. Any demolition, plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, or flooring necessary for your project will be completed. During this time our in-shop professionals will assemble your cabinets and prepare for installation.
5). Primary Phase
With prep work complete, your project can be installed. Your cabinets will be delivered, set in place and secured. Crown molding, base trim, and any necessary paneling will also be installed during this phase.
6). Secondary Phase
Once your cabinets are in place, any hardware will be installed and any touch ups necessary will be completed. Your countertop contractor will install your counters, the sink will be set in place, and appliances can be installed.
7). End Phase
Any clean up will be performed and tools will be removed from your space. Your new kitchen is complete and is ready to create meals, memories, and moments you will never forget!
